IV.year of LOKO TRANS Golf Cup
Golf players know well that a big part of each game of golf are new friendships and contacts born from random divisions into flights and from friendly get-togethers before or after a tournament. People from the Šurany based company LOKO TRANS Slovakia dealing with construction, repairs and reconstructions of railway vehicles leave nothing up to chance.
For this reason the fourth annual LOKO TRANS Golf Cup began a day earlier. The organizers have chosen one of the most beautiful Czech or Slovak courses (the Slovaks are regular guests) – Prosper Resort in Čeladná. The invited golfers were able to try out one of two of their master level eighteen-hole courses – New course, at first in pairs in a texas scramble tournament. The start has been delayed because of strong rain but finally thirteen pairs of players took to the field, ther patience rewarded. After the fourth hole the weather took a turn for the better and the game was finished under sunny skies.
That was not the end of it though, as a challenging evening awaited the golfers in the hotel U Holubů. Fantastic food, drinks and a traditional band but most of all a great atmosphere roused many of the players so that some remained into the early morning hours. A great addition was the fashion show of the brand Bunker Mentality where the models, and we have to say they were as professional as any on the catwalk, were the players themselves. They did the designer clothing justice. In this role we could see the moderator Adela Banášová or her dancing partner Peter Modrovský. They, as well as their actor colleagues Filip Tůma and Peter Batthyany, joined the golf family a while ago.
In the morning on the starting line of the main tournament of LOKO TRANS Golf Cup we could see 67 players. This time without any assistance from a partner, each of them had to fight for their own results. The best ranking in each category belonged to Atilla Sull (HCP 0-18), Ľuboš Klimo (HCP 18, 1-36) and Peter Přenosil (HCP 37-54). The longest drive from the women belonged to Tereza Hoffmanová, from men to Pavol Pancurák. The closest to the hole of all of the players came Radomír Měch. The second day also remained in high spirits and fine refreshments. It was made even better because the weather this time around really favoured the players, who could finally enjoy the Moravian architecture of the resorts and fully appreciate the setting in the green woods of the Beskydy mountain range. The winners, announced in the final ceremony, received fine awards from the hands of the CEO of LOKO TRANS, Tibor Cvik.
